Labs for Surgical Patients in Express

• Labs should only be created if patient is going to surgery before seeing the surgeon. 
• If the patient will be the surgeon before surgery DO NOT CREATE. 

To create the correct labs:

1. Click the plus sign next to lab
2. Click on Location- MUST BE PATIENTS CHOICE
3. Find Express Surgical Labs
   
   
4. Click Edit Order
   
5. It will then generate this screen
   
6. Select Print &Close
7. It will then create the order that will look like
   
   
8. To print from within the order, print all three on the same script, you will need to checkmark the top box, all the rest will automatically check
   
9. To print from within the chart, you will need to go into labs section, do NOT expand the labs, check mark just that lab and they will all three on the same form
   
10. Provide patient with the script and letter that generates.
