No Show Procedure

CSS/Scribe:   If you notice a patient on Chart Central is late by 20 minutes or more, change the status of the patient from OPEN to ????.

The Front Registration desk will monitor this on the Side Bars of their Medent Screens:

The Registration staff will then, discuss amongst them if the name sounds familiar or go out to the waiting room to call the patient’s name is it does sound familiar.    Once a determination has been made as to whether the patient is here or not, they will arrive the patient or no show the patient.

Clinical Staff: If you see that the patient remains in the ?????? status for a period of time.  Please do not mark the patient as a NO SHOW yourself.  Also please do not call the Front Desk with the Question of No Show (this is disruptive to patient flow).  Please remember that Registration has patients sitting infront them also and monitor this as best as they can.  If you continue to have issues, please contact Bill Muth, Francine Young or Sandra Stasiak.
